The Pilot :
It is a well known fact that conflict between science and religion has been inherent for centuries. Science and religion are generally considered immiscible with each other. Their struggles have been strong, the rivalry bitter. This is well publicised through a number of infamous and notorious incidents in history. But lesser known is the flip side to this coin – Science and Religion do have things in common, share ideologies that reinforce each other.
It will not be my claim, contention or propaganda that either of these are absolute truths or they are complete fallacies. After all i too am a mortal, not the all knowing Creator (again, only providing for the possibility of Him). In a series of articles, let us try to take a fair view of the treasons, reasons, ideologies, claims, implications and conclusions that have been drawn through history.
This will be a trip down what some people call “The Science of God”. Its been something that's always held my fascination, spell bound by some of its implications. Being a student of main stream engineering, you will not find here any theories or ideas that i claim to be my own. They are only what I've learnt from a variety sources, studies and research works. Nonetheless the conclusions drawn are from actual facts and not any preconceived notion of mine.
I find science and religion both mystical in their own separate ways, hope it gets rubbed on to you as well. The topics are open to discussion and do sincerely hope we have them in rational fashion. And as a last point, for people who might be curious if I'm an atheist or a theist, all say is : It doesn’t matter here, the point is to see the broader perspective.
